Choke is a book by Chuck Palahniuk. I hated it.
This is going to be my shortest 'review' ever because this book is below me and I'm not going to re-live reading it just so I can write some dumb review. I'm more interested in insulting people who liked this book.
Enjoying the literary works of Chuck Palahniuk is a sure sign that someone is completely devoid of personality. His books are childish and stupid. And look, I'm not denying that I'm childish and stupid, but I'm not even in the same league of inanity as Palahniuk.
There's no point trying to explain this any further, because if you enjoyed Choke then you're incapable of understanding what I'm saying.
Basically my point is that if you enjoyed this book, then you're not welcome to read my blog. Scram.

I enjoy your gusto!
I actually am a Chuck fan, but then I like to be challenged by what I read and am very much a fan of social commentary delivered through black comedy...Bret Eaton Ellis is another fave..
Agreed that Choke is not his best work, that honour goes to Survivor for me.
I almost feel sorry that your mind is so closed to this type of literature...but each to their own, art is subjective. I certainly understand why a lot of people do not enjoy his eccentric style, in fact I don't think he would be doing hsi job if he didn't inspire such passionate responses.
Good to see someone who isn't afraid to state an opinion, something i admire about Chuck ironically.
